New Name,
Same Commitment to Care.

Young Hands Holding Old Hands

Our Mission

We are an inclusive, nondiscriminatory organization supporting individuals with disabilities caused by birth defects, injury, disease, learning and developmental disorders, aging, and other conditions.

We are committed to providing community resources that foster Independence, Dignity, and Empowerment for individuals with special needs in Huntingdon County.

RAISEtown Care Connect is an EOE, 501(c)(3) registered Non Profit Organization.

Founded in 1952 as the Easter Seals Society, our organization has long been a trusted resource for individuals with disabilities, developmental challenges, and special needs across Huntingdon County. In 1994, we became known as Huntingdon County PRIDE—standing for Promoting Rehabilitation, Independence, Dignity, and Education.

For over 70 years, we have connected children, adults, and families to vital services—ranging from early intervention to therapy, financial assistance, and community advocacy. Our annual Telethon has become a beloved tradition and an enduring symbol of the community’s generosity and spirit.

In 2025, we proudly entered a new chapter as RAISEtown Care Connect. Our name may be new, but our commitment is unchanged. We’re here to raise the quality of life in our region by connecting people to the care and support they need to thrive—always with dignity, compassion, and hope.
